I am a creature of habit. I prefer to do my chores on specific days; just like I prefer to organize my blog by specific topics for specific days. Holidays totally fuck up my routine. However, I can deal with that by having certain routines in place for holidays – like when I get the…
Here is an interesting article about how TikTok heads off cyberbullying by limiting the audience of (possible) targets of cyberbullying: https://netzpolitik.org/2019/discrimination-tiktok-curbed-reach-for-people-with-disabilities First, I have to admit that I have a technology blind spot when it comes to Instagram and the newest thing “TikTok”. I have an Instagram account and have no fucking idea what to…
I went to John Glenn High School. My sister, Linda, was in the first graduating class of JGHS. The kids were from Bangor Township. Suburbia/rural. Not that the City of Bay City was all that metropolitan. As a brand-new school, we had a bit of a reputation. Mostly young teachers. With all those wild new…
I love See’s Candy. I think it may be the best chocolates available. Like most people who have had See’s Candy, I have my favorites. Most extra-specially I LOVE the butterscotch squares. It’s just basically brown sugar soaked in butter and dipped in chocolate. Anyhow, I figure, if I’m going to get See’s I should…
Before I came to San Jose, I had never heard of a “ditty bag”. Now I think they are essential. Google tells me the definition of a ditty bag is: “a receptacle for odds and ends, especially one used by sailors or fishermen.” I totally agree, except for the sailors/fishermen part. You can have one…

Famous pollsters Gallup need to get the fuck over themselves. Seriously. In the first two weeks of November they conducted their Health and Healthcare survey. The had responses from 1,015 random adults living in all 50 states and Washington DC. The results were that, in the past decade, there has been a marked increase in…

As you may (or may not) know, I work from home as a legal word processor. My background is going on over 40 years of experience as a legal secretary/paralegal; and I can type fast – but word processing lets me work from home. So I have an attorney send me a document for State…
Write down your blocking / choreography. Please. You would think this is just common sense. But some people just think they’ll remember or “get it”, and in my experience, that just isn’t the case. Writing it down let’s you review it on your own time. Writing it down makes sure that you review it as…
