Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuckety fuck. (This is to prepare you for the content that follows.)

Okay.  You may or may not remember that I am in an argument between MyMichigan and my insurance company over covering my endoscopy / colonoscopy from last April.

MyMichigan failed to get a pre-authorization for the procedures, which they were required to do because my insurance is out of North Carolina – NOT Michigan.  Not only do I tell anyone who is asking about my insurance at MyMichigan that my coverage is out of North Carolina – but MyMichigan has a copy of my insurance card, front and back, in their computer system.  (I also tell them that I only have Medicare part A, not part B, but that’s another bitch for another day.)

My insurance carrier has denied the claim for the procedure because pre-authorization is required.  MyMichigan said they would get retroactive authorization.  My insurance carrier said “fuck you”.

Meanwhile, I’m stuck in the middle.  And I’ll be fucked if I’m coughing up the money for something MyMichigan fucked up.

Today was the telephone conference call for the Level II Grievance Appeal.

I was there.

The (independent) reviewer was there.

The person reading all the legal stuff was there.
