I know. Some people never learn. I thought having to learn the lines for Shakespeare’s Birthday was going to make my brain pop; so why (you may well ask) did I audition for The Tempest (a Public Arts Midland production with Creative 360)? Good question, thank you for asking.

Well, I really, really love working with this director, so I thought it would be fun. I assure you that at my audition, I said I would be very happy with a SMALL role, one with not a ton of memorization.

But when I got the call offering me the role of Caliban (NOT a small role), my ego immediately screamed YES, I’D LOVE TO DO IT.

Fucking ego.

So I’ve spent the last month and a half up to my fat old lady tits in Shakespeare (God TIDBI save us all).

And this next Saturday (August 29th) there will be two performances of The Tempest at Grove Park in Midland, Michigan. Yes, it’s outside – and the performances are free, you just have to bring your own chair, blanket or whatever you wish to park your happy ass on. One performance is at noon and one is at 5:00 p.m.

And then we are done. So if you miss it, you miss it. There is a bunch of other stuff going on in conjunction with the shows:
