So, my husband and I are watching Ridiculousness – which is going to put us in a goofy giggly mood anyway, when an ad comes on for a shingles vaccine called Shingrix.

Okay.

First, you need to understand we watch commercials with the sound off – so this ad shows people doing everyday things – like taking spin class – cutting up vegetables – making some green glop to drink … and after each image … they flash on the screen

SHINGLES DOESN’T CARE

Which I immediately colloquialize to “Shingles don’t care.”

And it just cracks us up. 

Especially watching the next ad for something like Teenaged and Pregnant –

SHINGLES DON’T CARE

And what to brush your teeth with –

SHINGLES DON’T CARE.

Maybe you had to be there, but it was hilarious.  It’s akin to going through the hymnal and ending every song title with “Between the Sheets”.

Now whenever we are watching something with some big overly dramatic pause – we fill it with “Shingles don’t care.”

Do yourself a favor, go on YouTube and search for “Shingles Doesn’t Care” commercial.  There’s a bunch of them and they are all hilarious (imho).

Except now I’ve heard the ad with the sound on, and I’m thinking I’m going to go with the original

SHINGLES DOESN’T CARE!

It’s all in the delivery and the guy doing the original commercial is giving it his all.

(Even though, SHINGLES DOESN’T CARE)

Also, I am in no way making fun of shingles – which is a horrifically painful condition. I got my shingles vaccine (but I don’t know if it was Shingrix, which I am not endorsing in anyway) but we all know (say it with me, you know you want to) –
