I finished this Dikke Dame (fat lady) doll a few days ago, but I had to wait for the finishing touch – her broom.

In case you are not a fan of (the book and/or the musical) Wicked, Elphaba is the first name of the Wicked Witch of the West.

And you can’t have the Wicked Witch of the West without her broom!

I like my Dikke Dame dolls to represent fatties to do or be what our current society generally says they shouldn’t be doing or being because they are fat.

Fuck that.

Fat folk to do not need to put their lives or aspirations on hold until they reach some magical number of the scale.

Fat folks can do, be and dream it now.

As they are.

In the story of Wicked, Elphaba runs into all kinds of discrimination and bias because of her green skin.

And fat people face the same types of obstacles in the real world because of their bodies.

And Dikke Dame Elphaba says:
