Around a year or so ago, I took a video class through CarePoint (a local organization that offers free classes of various sorts to women going through any stage of breast cancer – if you live in the Silicon Valley and have or had breast cancer, they are a tremendous resource and I urge you to check them out at cancercarepoint.org).
The class was called Five Steps to Mindfully Releasing Anger; and I felt like it really helped me at the time.
Well, I’m back again for round 2 because I find myself in a mental space where I am constantly FURIOUS.
Everything makes me angry. Every. Thing.
It’s not pretty. It’s not healthy. It’s not good.
It’s not good for me. It’s not good for my (long suffering) husband. It’s not good for our cats who are beginning to think they’re names are “fucking cats”.
I’m not saying that I don’t have some very good reasons to be angry (at least imho); I’m just saying I need to find a better way to deal with all of this anger.
Or there may be headlines about a crazed fat old lady running amok.
So fingers crossed that this class does its magic once again and calms me the fuck down, at least for another year.
