Let’s hear it for happy endings!
I finally finished all 15 seasons of Supernatural.
Whew.
The ending was perfection, wrapping it all up with so much goodness. Going to miss those Winchester boys.
And then I binged Squid Game, which has no happy endings for anyone.
Whew.
I didn’t like it much; but it grew on me. 99% of the characters, to some extent, are unlikeable and those that seem likeable usually turn out to be shits. But when you don’t know or don’t like characters what happens to them becomes meaningless.
It is an interesting look at human character and what it is (and isn’t) capable of.
The acting was wonderful though.
I tried doing Season 2 of Sweet Magnolias and about gagged. When did this show become so full of religion and sappy platitudes? Yuck. I don’t know if I changed or the writing for the show but no thank you. Won’t be finishing off this one. So I’m back to Never Have I Ever and starting Disenchanted – and there is so much stacked up after wading through all those Supernatural episodes.

Someone gave me “Squid” with a bad review – thanks for seconding; may reconsider watching it (it’s a
“for consideration” disc that I have to return).
And yes, that ad with the dad & the little girl making cookies made me want to rush out & bake some.
Yeah, Squid Game is kind of rough. But like I said the acting is great (over the top sometimes but when you can’t understand the language you really appreciate what is being conveyed through face and body) If you watch it – you have to give it more than one episode.
