Looking for a fun, kind of sweet and off-center movie? Give The Grand Budapest Hotel a try. It has a little bit of everything.
The cast is a who’s who of people you want to see in movies – and you don’t even notice until you read the credits at the end. All these famous faces disappear behind the story and the great characters.
The movie reminds me somewhat of Travels with My Aunt (one of my favorite films, starring the magnificent Maggie Smith); although the comedy is not as broad.
I wish I could say it was (little) kid friendly; but there are some f-bombs (not many but they are there); and a few images (although very brief) that might require some explaining.
This is a perfect long weekend, what shall we watch, movie.
I just watched this movie on your recommendation. It’s a weird movie. I don’t know if I would recommend it to others, but I have an odd urge to watch it again.
Yeah it is a little weird. Sorry it wasn’t a hit for you. Have you seen Travels with My Aunt? Not quite as quirky as Budapest Hotel and stars the always fabulous Maggie Smith?
