When I first went to work for the San Jose law firm where I’ve worked the last 25+ years, I told them I would be retiring when I was 55.
Seemed like a good plan.
And every year at my review, I would remind them that I would be retiring at 55.
Well, I’m now 67 and still working.
So much for the best laid plans.
But I’m thinking when I move back to Michigan that may be the time to hang up the computer keyboard and find something else for the 10 amazing typing digits of this fat old lady to do.
Seems like a good plan.

If retirement is your thing, GO FOR IT! Can’t imagine being at one job for that long.
Meanwhile, enjoy your holidays – have a wonderfully indulgent Christmas & a VERY happy New Year!
When I get a job that I like okay – I’m there for the long haul. I warned my current employers that I was looking for a “home” – a place where I would be working for a very long time. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year as well.
