My dear husband and I have just finished watching Season 1 of Reginald the Vampire.

I have just finished reading all 6 books of the Fat Vampire series, upon which the TV show is based – no, not based, inspired by.

The show and the books are both quite good. 

The show and the books have very little to do with each other.

I find it interesting that you would create a TV show based – no, inspired, on a series of books – good books, but then diverge from the characters and plot line of the books so far as to make them almost unrecognizable. 

On the other hand, while they are different (for the most part), they are both good – just in different ways. 

So I recommend both of them; just don’t expect them to be quite the same – or very much the same.
