I had a mammogram the end of March and there was a spot.
Last week, I had a follow-up mammogram, an ultrasound and a biopsy.
And today I got the initial diagnosis of breast cancer.
Stage 1A.
So early, early, early days; and caught early, early, early.
Will meet with the “team” on Friday and go from there.
It’s a major relief to have the diagnosis – much better than all the stress and worry of not knowing. Now, we know and now we can move forward.
For once, I can only praise Kaiser.
Being able to go in for the second mammogram, have the ultrasound and then the biopsy right then and there was so great – and so efficient.
My left boob (of course, it’s my left side – if something’s going wrong with me, it’s going to be on the left) looks like someone punched it – hard, but I understand that’s a normal reaction to the biopsy.
So, seriously, y’all. I’m okay and I’m going to be okay.
As I constantly say (and as my dear husband has kept reminding me since the end of March) – don’t borrow trouble.
So right from the pandemic to breast cancer. Thanks a buttload 2021!

You got this. 🖤

Absolutely!
We love you and your boobs!! They and you will do great. So glad for the early. ❤❤❤❤👀🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Just catching up with your week — geez, not the best, huh?
Fear not! Been there – done that; looked on it as a minor, short-term aggravation that would last a few weeks
& then be gone. Think of it as “don’t applaud too much for amateurs – it only encourages them to do it again!”, i.e., do NOT let this become some huge thing in your life. It’s temporary – the repair people will fix
it & you’ll beback to normal in no time.
Hey – would one old musical theatre broad lie to another?
Be well & hang in there, kiddo! You got this.
I love your attitude, dear sister! We Cotter girls have spunk!
Thank you sister dear!
