Trolling Pinterest for fat art, I run across Happy Beppy dolls/figures.
They are delightful, fat round people. So many different styles, but only one shape – ROUND.
Really, really round.
So why are Happy Beppies so diverse?
Because they are made by all kinds of people!
Happy Beppy is a business in the Netherlands that has workshops where people can eat, drink and make Happy Beppies!
How fun is that?
It started when a lady made a fat lady figure (which she dubbed Happy Beppy) for herself; and people liked it so much, she ended up making more, and then teaching people how to make their own Happy Beppy. So her hobby became a business.
Eventually, she left the business and another person took over. The current owner (who does parties in South Limburg) really wants to expand the business and the website has contact info for people to do Happy Beppy parties in North Limburg, Belgian Limburg and Gelderland areas in the Netherlands.
I don’t suppose they want to do a party in San Jose, do you?
