THIS FAT OLD LADY’S TBT – LET’S DO THIS ONE MORE TIME

In my (mostly misspent) youth, I used to dye my own hair. Mostly varying L’Oreal red shades because, yes, I am definitely worth it. Back then, I had hair almost to my waist, and it took 2 packages to get it all dyed.

Now, my hair is shorn, and in its natural state almost totally white, and I now let someone else dye my hair (saves on the stained towels, walls, and hands).

Having white hair is quite the bonus, because I don’t have to worry about lightening it to achieve what is currently referred to as “vivid” colors.

My last venture into purple hair was educational. The color didn’t last more than 2 weeks. It didn’t fade as fast as the teal blue, but it sure didn’t last either.

This time my hairstylist also used some kind of acid gloss stuff that is supposed to help seal the color in. I went ahead and ordered some of this product on Amazon and I sure hope it works because – kaching – but it would still be cheaper than having to recolor my hair.

I’m loving this color and hoping it will hang around a little bit longer.

    • Happily, I’ve only gotten good comments on the hair! Not sure what my neighbors think though – they’re pretty conservative!
