This is a very sad WTF Wednesday.
I am asking WTF world? How could you, world?
A dear friend of mine (and some of you) died yesterday in a solo auto accident. The authorities say she was killed instantly.
Linda Dodson is no longer with us.
The Hot Cross Nuns no longer have our beloved Reverend Mother.
Her glorious voice, rich, smooth as silk, warm as a cozy fire on a snowy day, has been stilled forever.
Her laugh that rumbled up from the very depths of her soul has been silenced.
Her blue eyes twinkle no more.
These things will only live on in our hearts and memories.
Her sweet dog Lucy was in the vehicle, but don’t worry – Lucy is fine and in the care of some of Linda’s friends.
Laura and Sonya are on their way to help with what ever needs to be done.
Thank you Linda for all the wonderful memories, the opportunities, and most of all the laughter.
All I really want is to hear Linda say, one more time, “I like to stuff turkeys.”
Gonna take a sentimental journey
Gonna set my heart at ease
Gonna take a sentimental journey
To renew old memories
Got my bag and got my reservation
Spent each dime I could afford
Like a child in wild anticipation
Long to hear that “All aboard!”
Seven, that’s the time we leave, at seven
I’ll be waitin’ up for heaven
Countin’ every mile of railroad track
That takes me back (I wanna go back)
Never thought my heart could be so yearny
Why did I decide to roam?
Gonna take a sentimental journey
Sentimental journey home

Oh No!!!!! I can’t wrap my head or heart around this horrible news. I wish I could say something more comforting we’re heartwarming but I can’t. I’m so sad and so sorry for all of us that know her, saying with her first room with her, went to church with her. Missing her, Roz.
I am so sorry to hear of Linda’s passing. She was a terrific woman
