What I think my chair dancing will be like!
What my chair dancing actually looks like (and yes, that is me, about 20 or so years ago, in a crazy show called Bloodlines – PRETTY!)
My healthcare consultant suggested that I check out “chair dancing” as a way for exercising.
That’s chair dancing – not lap dancing. As I understand it, these would be two very different things.
I thought, why not? My job requires me to spend an extended period sitting, and this would be a possible way to get some more movement into my life.
So I go on YouTube and start perusing the options.
A lot of what I found were simply adds for sites that offer for-pay videos, rather than actual exercise routines. But I found a couple to try.
The first one I did was easy-peasy.
So I figured I should up my game.
I spot one for “Stronger Seniors”.
Piece of cake. I think.
And it was fun. A decent little work-out, and I’ll tell you some of that stuff had my thighs burning.
No biggie.
Until the next day.
Holy crap!
OW, OW, OW, OW, OW, OW, OW, OW!!!!!
Especially standing up or sitting down.
These are clearly some tough old ladies in that video. My hat is off to them.
Of course, I didn’t get to see them the day after; but still …
I now aspire to be a stronger senior; because clearly I am not.
