I had a landscaping company come over to do a proposal for the cost to do all the tasks on our yard that need doing. 

Lots and lots of stuff.

He was supposed to get us a proposal either Monday or Tuesday the next week.

It’s now Monday of the week after the next week.

Fuck.

Anyhow, I did learn some things about our landscaping. 

For example, the big snowball-y flowering shrubs.  Those are hydrangas! 

Who knew?  Certainly not me.

The two stubby red trees in front – Chinese maple.

The ground cover on the side? Myrtle.

But the biggest question I had was wtf is wrong with the cypress trees near our driveway?

They look like big ol’ tree penises.

Any guesses? 

Deer!  The deer like to eat them and they can only reach so high.  Resulting in big ol’ tree penises.
