THIS FAT OLD LADY IS DISAPPOINTED …. WITH HERSELF

If you know me at all, you know that I am, in a word, vulgar.

vulgar

No problem … I am who I am and, furthermore, I like who I am.

So imagine my disappointment to realize that something I have been saying for years turns out to be open to a “rude, indecent, indelicate, offensive, distasteful, coarse, crude, ribald, risqué, naughty, suggestive, racy, earthy, off-color, bawdy, obscene, profane, lewd, salacious, smutty, dirty, filthy, pornographic, x-rated (and more) meaning; and I never realized it!

How can this be?  DISAPPOINTED.

I have often wanted directors to know that I am willing to play any role if they don’t make me audition.  If you make me audition, then I start getting picky.

However, it took the great and vastly intelligent Walter Mayes to react when I said (what I always say):

“I’ll do anything, if I don’t have to audition.”

Walter about swallowed his tongue when I made him this offer.

Which made me stop and review the actual words I had just uttered.

I hate it when I’m vulgar and I haven’t even been getting to enjoy it!

On the other hand, I guess I could take pride that I’m just doing what comes naturally.
